Living Demonstrations for the General Public
Most of the museum's presentations include a history of writing from the beginning of recorded history and exhibit the mthods employed to copy and promulgate the scriptures. Demonstrations of the methods employed, materials used, and the consequences of these systems and their impact are discussed. Particular emphasis focuses on the lives of individuals and evenst which have had the greatest impact on the world today.
Unique Ephasis for Public Groups
As our museum is designed to appeal to the general public and secular organizations as well as religious institutions with divergent beliefs, presentations are modified to meet the ever dynamic complexities of such groups and individuals. Care is taken with secular groups not to emphasize a particular religious bias, although displays within the museum are of a historical and religious nature. Unique tours and lectures are offered for professional and educational purposes.
Special Emphasis for Latter-day Saint Groups
For Latter-day Saints the message focuses on the miraculous ways in which the Lord Jesus Christ has intervened in the preservation and advancement of the Holy Scriptures. Special emphasis focuses on the inspired works of individuals who translated the scriptures, preserved them and invented the means to dispense them - with exceptional emphasis on the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Also discussed is the impact of the Reformation, founding of the United States of America, and the restoration of the gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
Lectures, Courses, and Conferences
The museum will sponsor or co-sponsor lectures, teacher re-certification courses, university classes, and professional conferences and conventions in order to foster and promote its educational goals. The museum hopes to attract sponsors who will provide adequate funding for school children and university students which will enable them to participate regularly at the museum as part of their curriculum.
